Rating:  - out of the marines and heading to californiaI WAS CAPTURED BY RIGGER AND ROCK RIGHT OFF THE BAT IN THE FIRST BOOK "DON'T ASK AND DON'T TELL". THIS PAIR WERE TWO SEXY HUMAN BEINGS THAT ROCKED MY BOAT. THAT FELL SLIGHTLY WHEN I READ TEMPERING EVEN THOUGH I GAVE IT 5 STARS. I STILL THINK OF ROCK BECOMING TOO CLOSE TO DICK AND THAT DIDN'T SIT RIGHT WITH ME. EVEN THOUGH ROCK APPEARS TO LOVE RIGGER AS MUCH AS HE LOVES DICK IN "OUT OF THE CLOSET" I MUST CONFESS I GOT TIRED OF THE THREESOME BIT. AND WHO WANTS TO HEAR A GUY CALL ONE OF HIS LOVERS PRETTY? NOT ME. ROCK CALLS DICK KID WHICH I PREFER OVER RIGGER'S PREFERENCE OF PRETTY. AFTER A COUPLE TIMES IT BECOMES SICKENING. I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEE SEAN MICHAEL ADD ANOTHER CHARACTER FOR DICK. IT JUST SEEMS AS THOUGH RIGGER AND ROCK WERE NO LONGER TRULY IN LOVE WITH ONE ANOTHER AS THEY HAD BEEN IN THE BEGINNING. ADDING A THIRD PERSON TO THE MIX SHOULD HAVE BEEN DISSOLVED AT THE BEGINNING OF "OUT OF THE CLOSET" OR AT THE END OF "TEMPERING". A THREESOME IS EXCITING AND I ENJOY READING ABOUT IT BUT NOT AS A STEADY DIET. EVERYTIME RIGGER AND ROCK STARTED TO GET IT ON DICK WOULD STICK HIS NOSE IN "IS THERE ROOM FOR ANOTHER ONE?, OR CAN I JOIN IN? I WANTED SOME ALONE TIME FOR RIG AND ROCK AND I DIDN'T GET ENOUGH OF THAT. IN PERSONAL LEAVE THE LAST BOOK IN THE JARHEAD SERIES THERE WAS JUST RIGGER AND ROCK, AND I REALIZED HOW MUCH I MISSED THEM. "PERSONAL LEAVE" WAS BEFORE DICK CAME INTO THEIR LIVES. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE ONE MORE BOOK COME OUT WHERE SEAN MICHAEL WRITES IN A SPECIAL LOVER FOR DICK WHICH LEAVES RIGGER AND ROCK AS THEY ONCE WERE, A COUPLE NOT A TRIO. EITHER THAT OR HAVE RIGGER COMING TO THE POINT WHERE HE IS UNABLE TO HANDLE THE DISTANCE GROWING BETWEEN HIMSELF AND ROCK AND LEAVES. ALTHOUGH RIG LOVES DICK HE DISCOVERS AT THIS POINT IN HIS LIFE HE WANTS A PARTNER WHO LOVES HIM ENOUGH THAT THERE ISN'T A NEED TO HAVE SOMEONE ELSE CONSTANTLY IN THEIR BED TO KEEP THEM HAPPY. BECAUSE OF RIGGER'S CONTINUOUS NAME USAGE OF PRETTY FOR DICK AND THE TIRESOME THREESOME I GAVE "OUT OF THE CLOSET" ONLY THREE STARS. I SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED GIVING IT TWO AND WOULD HAVE IF NOT FOR THE STORYLINE INVOLVING RIGGER'S HEARTBREAK OVER HIS MOTHER'S BOUT WITH CANCER AND DYING. Rating: - INTERESTINGOUT OF THE CLOSET is one of those pieces of work that requires to be read, but has nothing really notable to say. It is however, worth the expense. |
