US Secret Service agent Cameron Roberts has more than one secret that could destroy her career, not the least of which is that she’s in love with the president’s daughter. Blair Powell, the first daughter, returns the feeling despite her ambivalence about Cam’s role as her security chief, particularly in the aftermath of an assassination attempt that nearly cost Cam her life. In this third book of the Honor series, Blair and Cam struggle to protect their relationship from intensified media exposure even as they are unwillingly drawn into a shadowy conspiracy that puts Cam’s career and the president’s political future at risk. When Cam's previous lover resurfaces to offer support and solace, the president's daughter and her security chief are faced with difficult choices as they battle a tangled web of Washington intrigue for... love and honor. ![]() Rating: - hard to put downRadclyffe is an awsome writter. In her series books you feel drawn to the characters. It is like you are right there with them. love and honor really hit home. the passion, denial of of being open. I highly recommednd the honor series and anything written by Radclyffe Rating: - This series gets better with each entryThis third book was an excellent follow-on to the first two books in this Honor series (Above All Honor, and Honor Bound) in a series I'm generally highly entertained by. It's refreshing for the characters of Blair and Cam that while they're still going for discretion, they've resolved all question about whether they will allow themselves to be together, despite the political and social implications. The author takes this chance to really build them into a team, each with talents and connections and the will and ability to protect the other. For that reason I probably enjoyed this book the best so far. Love is also in the air for others, such as Stark and Savard, and it even appears that Mac will get a love interest. I like how this book picks up directly where the previous volume left off: the team is still dealing with the impacts of the nearly disastrous show-down with Loverboy at the end of the previous book. Agents are dealing with injuries and grief. Ultimately the dangers in this book are much more political in origin, though they still threaten the life that Blair and Cam want. There has to be an accounting for how the Loverboy bust went so wrong, though it was ultimately successful, and we finally find out why Doyle has it in so badly for Cam. Even as Blair and Cam are drawn more closely together, even getting to interact with each other's families (I love the scenes between the President and Cam) so is Blair's security team. In response to political pressures Cam is forced to turn to those she trusts, including (reluctantly) some in the FBI, despite the dange to them, in order to get to the bottom of Washington moving/shaking/mis-use of government resources, and domestic spying. I enjoy how Radclyffe brings all the connections together in the end, and I enjoy that her characters experience emotional and intellectual progression, rather than making the same mistakes and dredging up the same dramas over and over again. Another winner in this series that so far gets stronger with each entry. Rating: - ActionRadclyffe is the leading lady of books that are a series. I like that the atmosphere of the Secret Service is so real. Of course the action helps. Duty, attraction, trust and a little bit of lust gives this book a very compelling read. A must have for any fan of Radcylffe. Rating: - Love & HonorI loved the book. I have read all of the Justice seriers and Honor series. Each book describes romances differently and you don't get bored. Excellent reading. Best author I have ever read. Rating: - Book 3 in the series.I could not wait to start this book and see where our heroines were headed. Again, I was not disappointed. |
