Masturbation has a complicated stigma attached to it; everybody is doing it, but not everybody talks about it. Some were told that touching oneself would cause cute kittens to die, some were told masturbation led blindness. Getting Off: A Woman's Guide to Masturbation is here to debunk those masturbation myths, and reinforce the truth. Masturbation is a totally natural and normal way for women to connect with and find pleasure in their bodies. Fun, informative, and illustrated, Getting Off provides women with a wealth of masturbation knowledge—its history, the mechanics of it, the joys of sexy toys—plus clear, concise tips on getting off. ![]() Rating: - Mediocre bookThis book may have been better when I was 18, but at 54, no new info provided. It was pretty well written and had good graphics to teach the proper name/location for things. If you're young and just studying this information, it would be a good book. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother buying it. Rating: - Jayme Waxman does a huge service to her gender!Everyone will learn something from this book. It's packed with interesting and useful information (from very basic to sophisticated) and contains a huge list of resources if you want to know more (or, want to buy some of the great gadgets Jayme writes about). In addition, Jayme peppers the book with quotes from real women so you can know what the rest of us are thinking without having to ask. If you're a woman, Jayme will teach you what you need to know about your sexual biology and how it can make you happy (or happier). If you're a man, you will understand womens' bodies (and minds) in a way that will make you a better lover. Jayme writing is smart and fun. You'll feel like you're talking to one of your girlfriends at a slumber party. Most importantly, she tells it like it is without apology. Sex is fun! Get this book and let Jayme show you how to make it even better! Rating: - Good tips and very interesting InformationFirst things first... I think that all women should have this book! It wouldn't hurt if men read it too. There is all kinds of interesting information about a women's anatomy that I wasn't aware of. It has good tips and reviews for toys and other products you can use. I also like the fact that it has quotes from women all over the country through out it. A must read. Rating: - Just do it.Jayme is brilliant, funny, and fabulous! You want to buy and devour this book. Every women should have the joy and pleasure of fulfilling our her desires. Continuing a fortuitous tradition of capturing the Sondheim legacy on video recordings, this performance was filmed before a live audience in Los Angeles during the 1982 national tour. Almost 20 years later, Hearn returned to the role opposite Patti LuPone in an acclaimed concert production. But Sweeney Todd is an especially compelling experience in this 1982 version, complete with the clever staging tricks (e.g., the barber's chair) and as close to the original cast as we're likely to see. --David Horiuchi
