![]() Rating: - Think 'Dita Von Teese' -- A throw back to the peep-showI bought both Lady M's dvds. I didn't find one harder than the other. The second one is contains more moves. Like almost all 'strip' dvds I find this too repetitious. I want routines done once at half-speed then once as a full-speed so that I can fit 10 more routines on a dvd. It is about 1/3 the speed of Carmen Electra's original 'striptease' dance dvd, for workout reference. The instructor is respectful, careful, slow, patient with herself, and perfect at teaching shy people to be more bold with eye contact without being-- dare I say-- trampy (possible oxymoron). She's a woman's woman, you admire her, you like her, you listen to her, she's non-threatening while being a sex-bomb all at once. She makes you want to buy a giant feather fan and get some pasties and stockings with bows on them and mix a cosmopolitan and just slowwwwwwwwwww down, baby, and pretend you are about to use your feminine moves search-out, seduce, then throughly destroy James Bond all without compromising your self-respect in the least. My only complain is the moves were repeated slowly too many times, and I don't get why they repeat something slowly twice or more, since that's what chapters on dvd's are designed for. That frustates and annoys me. Ending routines are too short, for all the build up. But this isn't atypical of stripping dvds. It's all instruction, then once you master it you're left having learned a one-minute routine. But none of these complaints take away from the care or attention of the instructor or the sexy unhurried, unrushed atmosphere. If you're a hardcore athelete or a pole dancer, this will be way too slow and easy unless you are looking *to* slow down. And in all honesty - slowing down is the hardest thing you can do when you strip. We can all go crazy and gyrate wildy, rip off our clothes and jump on that saddle like its the Triple Crown... but slowing down takes a ton of self-control and skill, and strangely enough, a lot of muscle endurance. (To test this theory, kick your leg up high... then, alternately, lift it to the exact same position but do slowlllyyy over the course of 30 seconds...much harder, slower). If your looking to get your heart rate up there, crazy, this won't do it at all, especially if you have admirable cardio staying-power, you're a runner, a club-dancer, a tennis player, etc. But if you want to get creative with self-appreciation, pretend it's 1950, and or you're a 'look at me, love me, desire me' kind of girl, this just might be the dvd for you. I'm glad I own it. As a final visual reference, think of a britney spears video melting *very* slowly......with no where to be, no where to go, just an entire universe hanging batedly on the edge of your every undulation. But then that is the power of the female body: it's about you having fun, not performing for anyone else (you're not a trained-seal! you're a Goddess!) - and there in lies the secret of capturing the imagination and attention of an audience: pleasing yourself before anyone else even comes to mind... Rating: - FunVery fun workout, keeps you interested to learn the whole routine for future use! Good workout too...gets you sweating! The only thing is I'm not 21 anymore and my knees were killing me! I bought thin knee pads so I could continue to do the workout. Rating: - AwesomeNot too complex but interesting and cool enough to want to master the moves and show off! Very, very satisfied customer! Rating: - I'm really enjoying the Lady M's teaching styleI just received this dvd and I am anxious to try these moves on my own. I'm so happy that she takes the time to explain and show moves. Plus the entire routine at the end. thanks Lady M for making this dvd possible Rating: - Easy to follow!I found this video very easy to follow! I am a young newlywed, who was ,looking for something special for the honeymoon. The video is easy to follow, doesn't spend too long on any subject but each move is explain very well. It really motivates the sexy woman in you to show off your body no matter what your size. Loved it! |
Sales of semiconductors in November indicate that consumer products such as LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs, digital music players, and other devices sold well during the holidays, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) said Monday.
November chip sales rose 2.3 percent year-on-year to $23.1 billion, the SIA said.
Unit demand has far outpaced last year. But falling chip prices have hurt industry revenue, the chip association said. For example, DRAM (dynamic RAM) bit shipments grew 25 percent in the three months through mid-December, but average selling prices have declined 20 percent over the same period.
The association also noted that rising energy prices and concerns about the sub-prime lending issue in the U.S. do not appear to have had a significant impact on consumer spending for the holidays, the SIA said. The group reiterated its forecast that worldwide semiconductor sales will reach a new record in 2007. But it will take a stronger than expected December selling season to reach the 3.8 percent growth goal the group had forecast earlier this year, the SIA said.
Investment banking firm Credit Suisse was not as optimistic as the SIA.
The November data was below normal seasonal trends, noted analyst John Pitzer, in a report on Monday. Even if December reaches its normal seasonal growth, 2007 industry revenue will only reach $255.7 billion, up 3.2 percent over last year. The growth percentage would fall short of the SIA's 3.8 percent target.
The slow November prompted Credit Suisse to lower its 2008 chip industry revenue forecast to 9.4 percent year-on-year growth, down from a previous target of 13 percent.

Marie opens the show with an outdoor rendition of "We Need a Little Christmas" and then moves into the studio where Kirk Cameron arrives on a snowmobile (fresh from rescuing a trio of blonde snow bunnies) to read "The First Christmas Story." Lee Greenwood performs "Christmas to Christmas" and later a duet with Marie. "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" is sung by Sally Struthers and daughter with help from the Osmond Boys--six stepping stones ages 4 to 12 who have the senior Osmonds' moves down pat. The adorable award, though, goes to Marie's 5-year-old son, Steven, who performs a rockin' version of "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" (clapping on the off-beat nearly the whole song).
Marie has a good, strong voice, but many of the songs are overproduced and melodramatic. This, most likely, is a product of the big, pouffy '80s (her hair and outfits are also bigger-than-life) rather than a reflection of her talents. The closing number, "O Holy Night," sung by Marie alone, is quite lovely. --Dana Van Nest
