 Rating: - Simply AmazingAnybody with an interest in bodywork for horses should own this DVD. Jim explains things very clearly and the DVD is very well put together. I was able to use the techniques after my first viewing fairly well just by following a few notes that I took. Subsequent viewings of the DVD and sessions with my horse have allowed me to get a better feel and more confidence resulting in more effect from the work. Using the Masterson Method has allowed me to find and release areas of tension on my horse that I did not know she had. I agree with the reviewer who said to watch the DVD very closely after the first time... I picked up many more subtle details the second time through. Rating: - Go to a Clinic if you can!!!!I live here in Iowa and have been to TWO weekend seminars of Jim's. This process is amazing and it is great to get the one on one instruction from Jim Masterson. I don't own horses, but I volunteer at an equine rescue with 30 horses rescued from abuse and neglect - or dumped because of medical issues. I highly recommend the DVD and also for anyone who can go to his clinics. He is also just starting to offer certification! Even if you don't ride but you have horses - what could be better than making sure they are calmer, less injury-prone and moving at their best? This guy knows his stuff! Watch the DVD a few times (very closely after the first time - after you have tried some of the techniques) and you can relate to a horse like a wise old cowboy. He covers a lot of territory but I think I now know almost as much about giving a horse a massage as some licensed massage therapists know about giving people a massage (hope my massuese doesn't read this). |
