 Rating:  - Not That Hot...This book seemed amateurish - it's mostly to do with the writing style. It reads a notch above internet porn with a better-than-average plot, like something you would buy off an e-publishing website (I'm not saying all e-published authors are inept, just the ones I've bought, unfortunately). Normally, amateurish writing style is not enough to merit 2 stars (because I'm not buying books like this for the plot, you see) but the "hot" sex scenes aren't that hot. The language is too mechanical and inspires little excitement (for me). Plus, there's very little by way of actual sex, just a lot of build-up to a wedding-sex-ritual that isn't very exciting (or ritualized - I'm still confused about that plot detail, but revealing it might be a spoiler for all the folks who feel like flogging themselves with this book). And when the main characters FINALLY get busy, the scenes are..... very vanilla. It is implied that the culture of the male character is sexually liberated and has very few taboos, but the concept isn't explored satisfactorily. Last, a word to the author about picking truly awful names of countries, nationalities, and food, for this book. King of the Klacks sounds really lame - not sexy - and using a variant of the C-word as a name for the entire nation of bad guys is ... tasteless. The amateurish feeling of this book is thus reinforced. Practice makes perfect, and hopefully this author will improve at her craft. I choose not to shell out my hard-earned money in the meantime. Rating:  - FANTASY ROMANCENOT SO TERRIFIC. REALLY ONLY SO SO. SOME HOT SEX SCENES BUT THE PREMISE IS WEIRD AND THE CHARACTERS ARE SHALLOW. NOT A KEEPER. Rating: - (:D) WOW!not bad a good read and story telling. i thought Stone's best friends were yummy!!!!!! and i can't wait for the second book. the ceremony that took place one word WOW!! and that was a good wow. KEEPER Rating: - Alyssa and StoneI am not going to go into detail, I see that has already been done. I thought this book had a good story and the characters were believable (I liked the fact the Alyssa was shy about her body at first) and the pages HOT. I would recommend this book if you are not looking for a moving romantic read, this is more of a fantasy sex read. Its worth it for the erotica. Rating:  - need for an open mindCeremony of Seduction (Seduction Series, Book 1)my opinion is the book is well written the story line flows and is solid the sex scenes are very very graphic and explicit can't emphasis that enough. some words in the book may offend some people. this is a real erotic romance and would need to purchased and read by open minded , free spirited people however if you are one of those ,great read and i really enjoyed it. one of those books that you get ratty with yourself for having read it too fast. oh well its book 1 look forward to book 2 |
