BONUS TRACK: STONE, STRINGS & UDU - - -

'The Secret' a popular movie phenomenon, reveals how anyone that knows 'The Law of Atrraction' and applies the principles to their life can achieve their greatest dreams. These are not new secrets, in fact they are secrets passed through the ages from stone etchings, to scrolls, to the hidden chambers of some of the most successful figures in history.

This piece is a musical analogy to the historical journey that these secrets followed up to their revelation in the 2006 movie. It is not the soundtrack, rather it is an independent tribute. It begins with ancient instruments & chants of Africa. It moves quickly into a modern genre with strings, choir, and a stone lithophone dating back 6,000 years. The music maintains the spirit of the movie throughout with lyrical cello solos & the 'Heartbeat of the Universe' resounding from a giant clay pot Udu.

- - - THE BLISS SYMPHONY - - -

'The Bliss Symphony' is an inspiring 3 movement classical work for full orchestra featuring harp, flute, bassoon, piano, synthesizer and full choir. It is a musical tribute to the popular smash-hit movie 'The Secret'.

- - - MOVEMENTS - - -

1. QUEST FOR INNER BLISS: A gallant tympani announces powerful intentions and you're instantly embraced in the beauty of a Celtic melody, plucked from the orchestral harp. Before long, full strings sweep you away in a lush yet energy filled pursuit.

2. GIFTS OF JOY AND RICHES: A spiritual & uplifting gift has been bestowed upon you; you are now more contemplative and confident. You realize that the gift you have discovered is not just for you, it is for humankind.

3. DANCE OF THE UNIVERSE: It's time for celebration and nothing gets things going like a latin-based rhythm accompanied in virtuosic piano themes. This riveting movement is destined to send you into vibrational bliss.

All works are tributes written by composer DanManDo who is also the internet strategist behind the original movie.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - No songs from movie.....
Although the music on this CD is ok, it is not any music from the movie. I was looking for some of the back ground music that was played during the movie or even during the menu part of the DVD. This is totally not it. It's still some what up beat music, but having trouble finding the link with the movie, except for the part it's called "law of attraction" music. Bottom line if your looking for some ok music the CD is ok, if you are looking for music from the movie, this is not it.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - HUH?
Did not mean to buy this. Sent it back. I'll stick with the movie.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - beautifulsoul
I have not written a review before and so I will be short and to the point. While this may not be the original soundtrack to the movie, it is indeed a Tribute as titled. Others may be giving this cd a bad rap and missing the true nature of the music...that being a compilation that will touch your soul and transform your day. I find it soothing and inspiring. The idea is to change your thoughts positively and change your life. This music helps me achieve this! Peaceful World.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not Good.....
This CD doesn't even have a real orchestra playing, it's all "virtual" and synthesized. As a sophmore Music Composition major at Baylor University, I can tell you that these compositions aren't very good. The company and composer are just feeding off of the fact that the REAL music from The Secret (not available on this CD) are what people are after. Don't waste your time or money on this product. Find something else on Amazon.

My error. I thought this was a DVD (movie)not a CD (music). The music is nice but I would not have bought this if I knew what I was buying.

Sales of semiconductors in November indicate that consumer products such as LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs, digital music players, and other devices sold well during the holidays, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) said Monday.

November chip sales rose 2.3 percent year-on-year to $23.1 billion, the SIA said.

Unit demand has far outpaced last year. But falling chip prices have hurt industry revenue, the chip association said. For example, DRAM (dynamic RAM) bit shipments grew 25 percent in the three months through mid-December, but average selling prices have declined 20 percent over the same period.

The association also noted that rising energy prices and concerns about the sub-prime lending issue in the U.S. do not appear to have had a significant impact on consumer spending for the holidays, the SIA said. The group reiterated its forecast that worldwide semiconductor sales will reach a new record in 2007. But it will take a stronger than expected December selling season to reach the 3.8 percent growth goal the group had forecast earlier this year, the SIA said.

Investment banking firm Credit Suisse was not as optimistic as the SIA.

The November data was below normal seasonal trends, noted analyst John Pitzer, in a report on Monday. Even if December reaches its normal seasonal growth, 2007 industry revenue will only reach $255.7 billion, up 3.2 percent over last year. The growth percentage would fall short of the SIA's 3.8 percent target.

The slow November prompted Credit Suisse to lower its 2008 chip industry revenue forecast to 9.4 percent year-on-year growth, down from a previous target of 13 percent.

It's a measure of the ongoing popularity of Karen and Richard Carpenter that the 2002 release of this video collection in DVD format comes nearly 20 years after Karen's death. The duo's heyday mostly preceded the MTV age, so this 15-song, 55-minute anthology is a bit of a visual hodgepodge, composed of still photos, footage from TV shows and concerts, promo clips, fleeting attempts at conceptual videos, and other weirdness (film of Carpenters albums being pressed on the assembly line? Hey, whatever). You'll see an array of bad haircuts and outfits and a whole lot of lip-syncing, but in the end, it's the music that counts. And the Carpenters' signature sound, with its brilliant arrangements, its lush harmonies, and Karen's exquisite alto voice, was easy-listening pop at its finest. If nothing else, Carpenters: Gold offers another chance to hear that music in all its glory. --Sam Graham

With a gentle tug at the heartstrings, Evelyn tells the true story of an imperfect father whose devotion brought much-needed change to rigid Irish law. It's a labor of love for star and coproducer Pierce Brosnan, who brings just the right touch of Everyman charm to his role as Desmond Doyle, a struggling Dublin tradesman, father of three, and chronic pub-crawler whose wife abandons their family the day after Christmas, 1953. Desmond's a loving father who's boyishly irresponsible; Irish law dictates the removal of his children to stern Catholic orphanages, and his battle for custody is aided by two lawyers (Stephen Rea, Aidan Quinn) who seize this opportunity to revolutionize the courts. With straightforward, unobtrusive style, director Bruce Beresford draws fine performances from Brosnan, Julianna Margulies (as a barmaid who inspires Desmond's sobriety), and especially young Sophie Vavasseur in the title role as Desmond's bright, determined daughter. Sentimental without being saccharine, Evelyn is simple, well made, and bursting with genuine Irish spirit. --Jeff Shannon

Few would accuse Fantasia of a reluctance to abide by the wisdom that what you've got, you should flaunt, and the vocal gusto she slathers over her full-length debut gets partial credit for earning--and keeping--your attention. To a greater extent, though, the high-wattage help heaped over the Idol 3 champ and Patti LaBelle-sound-alike makes the disc dazzle. In addition to pitch-ins from Missy Elliott, who produced and co-wrote three tracks and busts out a two-snaps-up rhyme on "Selfish (I Want U 2 Myself)," Jazze Pha duets on the ultra-mod "Don't Act Right" and Jermaine Dupri wrote and produced the smolderer "Got Me Waiting." Surprisingly, though, it's not those tracks or even the Idol-propelled cover of the Gershwins' "Summertime" that will stick with listeners most. Instead, first single "Truth Is," a sweet, old-school R&B lament directed toward a lost love, and "Baby Mama," a spirited shout-out to hard-working single mothers, snare standout status with their from-the-gut authenticity. Keeping it real is what won Fantasia the hearts of millions on TV, and despite Free Yourself's likable slickness, it convinces that--hot commodity or no--she's not about to forget it. -Tammy La Gorce
